Celebrity photographer Rankin has been announced as patron of Claire House Children's Hospice.

Rankin has worked with the likes of Madonna, David Bowie, Kate Moss and The Queen, and was first introduced to the Wirral-based hospice during preparations for his 2013 exhibition, Alive: In the Face of Death. Having photographed seven young people from the hospice, Rankin said 'My visit to Claire House was one of the most life-affirming experiences of my career and I came away with the knowledge that these young people lived their lives as we all should - to the full'.
